Katia Sanchez founded the brand Des Petits Hauts in 1999 and left the company in 2017 for a well-deserved break.

After a significant trip to India, where she was confronted with the contrast between beauty and pollution, her desire to undertake new ventures returned. Inspired by the advice of a friend of her father, she decided to pursue her passion for creating responsibly sourced mohair sweaters.

During her quest, she explored environmental issues, worked with eco-design experts, and visited manufacturers in France and Italy.

In 2023, she found the most beautiful Italian mohair yarn, sourced from responsible farms in South Africa or France.

This journey also led her to create joyful and colorful sweaters, focused on sustainability and creating an emotional connection with those who wear them. For Katia, the essential goal is to create sweaters that people will love and cherish for a long time, following the principle of "less but better."
